Dental Health Educators/Assistants (Permanent Full-Time)

Location: Prescott Russell Territory

Salary: $47,320‬.00 to $53,489.8‬0 annually

Description of Job:
The individual will work within a public health team to support dental care delivery to children, youth and seniors in a public health clinic. The individuals will also be responsible to promote oral health in the community at large in accordance with mandatory program guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized program in dental assisting Level II.
  • Previous experience in a private dental office, teaching, or a public health environment is preferred.
  • Current certification with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association, at Level II.
  • Hold NDAEB certificate (National Dental Assisting Examining Board).
  • HARP (Healing Arts Radiation Protection Commission) certified.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills in both English and French.
  • Must possess a valid driver's licence and the use of an automobile.

Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (Temporary Full-Time)

Location: 1 Temporary Full-Time Bilingual position for the Cornwall/Casselman offices
(until May 2022, with possibility of extension)

Salary: $38.51 to $44.01 per hour with 12% in lieu of benefits and 8% in lieu of vacation pay.

Description of Job:
The individual organizes, prepares, and delivers both in-person and virtual speech and language pathology assessment/treatment and education programs to preschool children and their family/caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology.
  • Eligibility for CASLPO membership.
  • Experience working with young children and their family/caregivers.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Lead Epidemiologist

Location: 1 Permanent Full-Time Lead Epidemiologist, location TBD (Cornwall or Casselman Office)

Salary: $ 81,317.60 to $ 91,891.80 annually

Description of Job:
The individual will provide leadership and expertise in population health assessment and surveillance; will conduct duties consistent with the requirements of the Population Health Assessment and Surveillance Protocol of the Ontario Public Health Standards (2018; OPHS) and support the implementation of the OPHS Foundational Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health with a focus on epidemiology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in epidemiology and research, with epidemiology experience in a public health setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated skills in epidemiological and statistical methods, applied research, and current related best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Public Health, the important health and social issues that affect a population and the Ontario Public Health Standards.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge Transfer and Exchange skills including creating messages for knowledge transfer, understanding audiences, using appropriate transfer methods, and defining impacts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in community health measurement, and in public health research methodology.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to respond to, and meet, competing priorities timelines
  • Proficient computer and data management skills including statistical analysis using software such as MS Office including Excel and Access, Epi-Info, SPSS, Stata, Power BI, and others.
  • Strong communications skills in both official languages.

Finance Officer

Location: 1 Permanent Full-Time position in Cornwall, ON

Salary: $73,662.14 to $83,206.50 annually

Description of Job:
The individual will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, budget, payroll and reporting functions.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration, commerce, economics or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, budget, and related financial procedures or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Three to five years progressive accounting experience working preferably in the public sector.
  • Supervisory experience considered an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Powerpoint.
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains considered an asset.   
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of statutes, regulations, by-laws and collective agreements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of payroll, including the Employment Standards Act.
  • Good knowledge of programs and services provided by the EOHU.
  • Good communication skills in both  official languages are considered an asset.

Web Developer (Programmer Webmaster)

Location: 1 Permanent Full Time Position in Cornwall, Ontario

Salary: $57,675.80 to $65,156.00 annually

Description of Job:
The candidate will develop, maintain and upgrade new and existing internal and external web presence, and maintain the security of all data in conjunction with IT staff.

Qualifications:

•    Diploma from a community college program in computer science or program dedicated to the development of computer and multimedia skills including website development and programming skills, or equivalent.
•    Previous experience working with website development, programming and multimedia technologies.
•    Excellent knowledge of web-related requirements (compression, encoding, streaming, CD-ROM, DVD).
•    Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat.
•    Excellent knowledge of Digital Ocean, PHP, PowerApps, Ajax, HTML (including CSS and Javascript), scripting (CGI and PERL), databases (mySQL), version code base (CVS), ASP.NET, VBScript, SQL, RSS, Apache.
•    Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

Manager, Information and Technical Systems

Location: 1 Permanent Full Time Position in the SDG or Prescott-Russell Territory

Salary: $85,607.09 to $100,713.81 annually

Description of Job:
The incumbent will be responsible for the effective leadership, management and supervision of their assigned staff and related service delivery. S/he will plan, develop, install and monitor information and communication technology and related services for all offices of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit and will support the Health Unit’s mandate and obligations by identifying and anticipating future information needs that will contribute to the enhancement of organizational systems performance. This position may be assigned to the Prescott-Russell or the SD&G territory based on preference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, commerce, or engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in systems analysis, data administration, software engineering, network design or computer programming, including supervisory experience
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) designation would be considered an asset
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevance experience
  • Excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN based information systems and network administration
  • Demonstrated abilities in the areas of needs assessments, program planning, research, evaluation, and education
  • Technical management, information analysis and hands on experience of computer hardware/ software systems
  • Evidence of project management skills – including the ability to prioritize, set timeframes, organize resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of administration, leadership, management, and supervisory roles
  • Ability to work independently, interdependently and as an integral team member
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and lifelong learning
  • Excellent inter-professional and communication skills (both verbal and written)
