EOHU Immunization Clinics
The Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) offers weekly immunization clinics in all its offices. All vaccines listed in Ontario’s Routine Immunization Schedule, including shots against the flu, are available free of charge. Children 0 to 6 years old can also be immunized at some Watch Me Grow Centres (on hold due to the pandemic). Some immunizations for youth are also offered at special school clinics organized by the EOHU.
Immunization at our EOHU office immunization clinics is by appointment only. Please call in advance to book an appointment.
The EOHU is pleased to resume offering routine childhood vaccination by appointment across the EOHU region. Appointments are open to children 0 to 10 years of age.
Due to COVID-19, childhood immunization clinics were limited. As a result, many children have fallen behind on their Routine Immunization Schedule. Call the EOHU at 1-800-267-7120 to inquire about your child’s eligibility and to book an appointment.
School Immunization Clinics
Each year, school-based clinics are held for students in Grade 7, to provide immunization against Hepatitis B, HPV and meningococcal disease. Vaccines are administered by a public health nurse from the EOHU.
Special immunization catch-up clinics are also offered in some high schools. Secondary students who are missing vaccines that are required to attend school may be able to catch up on their immunizations at these clinics.
Students who are eligible for the vaccines will receive consent forms and information about the vaccines. Students who miss their vaccine at the school can contact the EOHU Immunization Clinic nearest to them to get immunized.
Publicly Funded Vaccines
The EOHU provides all publicly funded vaccines to individuals who either:
- don't have a healthcare provider
- have a healthcare provider who doesn't provide immunizations
