2019-05-29

Congratulations to Angela Poirier and Alysha Lavictoire, winners of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit’s (EOHU) Emergency Preparedness contest.

Angela, from Cornwall, won the contest on the EOHU’s English Facebook page, while Alysha, also from Cornwall, won the contest on the French Facebook page. Angela and Alysha are two of the over 140 participants who entered the contest by commenting on the EOHU’s video about the basic contents of a home emergency kit on Facebook.

They each earned themselves a prize consisting of a 4-person 72-hour emergency survival kit for their home, valued at $160.

The EOHU held the Emergency Preparedness contest from May 5th to the 11th, during national Emergency Preparedness Week. The event encourages Canadians to take concrete actions to prepare themselves and their loved ones for emergencies.
